Tv Season Info

Five warned his family (so, so many times) that using his powers to escape from Vanya's 2019 apocalypse was risky. Well, he was right -- the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas. Over a three year period. Starting in 1960. Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they're the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which -- spoiler alert! -- turns out is a result of the group's disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?). Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything.

"The Umbrella Academy" is left as a show that robs itself of any meaningful past or future.

The Umbrella Academy is what you get when you mix Wes Anderson with Matthew Vaughn, stuff them full of Red Bull and Adderall, and give them a Spotify Premium subscription. Yes, that's a compliment.

Once again the series' wry sense of humor shines through, striking a fine balance with the spectacle and the emotional oomph. Great stuff.

While the series still fails to meet its potential, season two is stronger than season one, and allows its cast a chance to shine.

Less dysfunctional estranged family and more light-hearted time-traveling fun, but that doesn't mean the show loses its emotional core - because it still hits HARD.

This season brought a new level and depth across the board for these characters [...] and we start to get hints into the [origins] mystery. One of my favorite shows of 2020!

Netflix's Umbrella Academy Season 1 was the queer superhero story many of us had been waiting for--after another year and a half, Season 2 did not disappoint.

A perfect follow up to a great Season 1 in that it's equally great. The mix of humour and drama is great and the storylines and acting top notch. Can't recommend it enough!

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this without relying on season 1...the story itself is very well told.

The Remarkable Aidan Gallagher, whose portrayal of the time-traveling Five, a 50-something assassin trapped in the body of a 14-year-old, brings essential gravity and urgency.

Final Rate 7/10 The first 6 ep was amazing but the other four that was been soooo boring & am sicken of them early but thankfully there are there shiny side like the OST that have been chosen it's more better than first season and the script are more improved either.

I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. The characters are amazing, the story is great, and there are plenty of laughs as well. So many enjoyable moments, their music selection is also incredibly on point, and perfect.

The characters are just as great as the 1st Season but the story is much more coherent in this 2nd Season and the pace is way more consistent. And the relationships between the siblings has also developed significantly with the actors clearly much more comfortable in their roles and with each other.

Absolute must watch! Great story that keeps you guessing every character move and flips your assumptions on their head. Really funny, sad, heart throbbing, and powerful action moments fill every moment. Amazing soundtrack and excellent use of music to help the scene set the right mood.

Very nice new different super hero series. I hope to watch very soon the next season.
  • Sep 14, 2020
No where near as good as season one. Just a let down.
  • Sep 14, 2020
I love the series since the first season, in this second season, I was able to learn more about the characters and their personalities. The range of colors, photography and the setting are one of the reasons why I love it. I must admit that the character that stood out the most in the second season was Allison.
